Took payment twice

On the 5th January 2026 I paid my Sky Tv, on the 9th January they tried to take it again, then on the 19th January they took the payment again, I don't have a direct debit I always pay by card, Sky is getting very greedy, I've had to miss some other bills due to this, puts me in more debt.

If you are new to Sky you should be aware that there is no need to make manual payments as you have been doing this as Sky will take it automatically from you.

 

Also if you are new to Sky then you are billed twice within the first month.


You should now see a credit on your account due to this manual payment you made which you can either leave so it is used to psy a future bill or you can call Sky to request it is refunded back to you and that should happen within 5 working days.

@Lee190568 your topic title is misleading.

Sky took the payment ONCE as they are entitled to under a continuous payment arrangement on your debit card, this or a DD must be set up as per their Ts and Cs.

YOU mistakenly paid the bill manually when not necessary, so any cashflow issue are unfortunately entirely of your own making.
