Time to leave

After 23 years I have now canceled Sky Tv, I was on Sky essentials 31 day rolling, in April Sky increased my subscription by £2 per month linked to Netflix standard no ads in my account, I checked pricing on line for a new customer who could subscribe same package as me £2 less than I was paying, I do understand most companies give better offers for new customers yet I don't have to agree with this.

I also inquired about Sky Ultimate the only was to get a good deal one again not as cheap as a new customer was to sign up for a two year contract, I told Sky I will not be locked in without knowing what future price rises are planned as Sky do not give this information until it happens and you can't leave Sky stream.

This is my opinion on the above and not all may agree.

Somewhat bizarrely, Ofcom requires broadcast subscription services (in this context that's Sky+ and Sky Q) to either give a figure in advance or permit exit, but this doesn't apply to online-only delivery.

That's presumably because Ofcom regulation is based on law which pre-dates internet fast enough for streaming.
