I spent an hour in chat with Sky agent who offered me a new deal to stay with Sky which I accepted. Agent said she would send details for me to approve and then she would set up a new contract. However the agent said she had to close and would contact me at 8.30 tomorrow. Is the a scam as I passed them a lot of sensitive information?

All sorted. I made contact with a human the following morning, explained what had happened. They transfered me to Sky's "Cancellation" department - spoke to a very helpful lady (sounded like a Welsh Contact Centre?) who gave me a great deal (better than with the chat the night before) and renewed for another 24 months. Also discussed other products. Why on earth can't customers speak to humans in the first instance - saves a great deal of stress, time and leads to better CS. Thanks.
