Subscription Not Active

Received two pucks on 6/10/25 and set them up and linked them to sky account without any issues , however on my account it still states awaiting delivery for the pucks which I already have . The subscription is still not active after 3 days now. Due to this I can not link netflix to sky or mange the pucks from my sky app.. on terms of watching content everything works on the pucks but no active subscription . I reach out to sky and they have passed this on as a known issue . Had anyone else had the same experience ? How long did the fix take ?

  • And have you reached out to sky for help ? Seems there's a lot of people having same problem . Find it hard to believe why this is an issue considering they should know what is shipped and serial number of the puck should automatically link to you account and activate the subscription  . Very very strange on why it can't be fixed quicker . Perhaps someone from sky can enlighten me and explain why this is an ongoing problem for so many people

I have been on to Sky about this a few times, as I  got a new puck delivered on 23 September (the old one seemed to have developed a fault) - and the new one showed as delieved but also as not delivered.  This appears to be the problem.  When I try to set it up it says Subscription not active.  Apparently all deliveries made since around 20 September have this problem, which must be thousands frankly.  Basically, I have had no Sky TV since 23 September!  I was fobbed off for a while with several messages of how they were fixing it, but the last time I spoke to somebody they told me - quite breezily, as if this was okay - it will all be fixed by 10 or 11 October.  This was on 1st October!  I am amazed this IT glitch has caused such a massive issue.  I am paying for Sky but have no service and when I then said I wanted to cancel my account I was told this wasn't possible because they couldn't access the account to cancel it!!!  I am kind of flabbergasted at how bad this is.  I am now checking out other options to Sky, which I would  not have done if they hadn't been so rubbish.

I have service on both pucks but no active subscription , it's all very strange . The only thing that bugs me is I can't link netflix to sky billing , so netflix have charged me for this month after I cancelled it via EE on the day the pucks arrived assuming it would activate upon plugging them in . How wrong I was . It seems a complete mess and guess it takes a while to activate all these accounts that are backlogged . They should credit all effected accounts that are delayed by this

Further update from sky via social media , was told it may take up two weeks to resolve this issue regarding activating accounts. Find it even stranger as I am getting service but getting told I won't get billed until account is activated , so in a fashion I am getting it for free 🤨. So being billed by Netflix isn't so bad 🤔

I have the same issue. I spoke to sky yesterday and they said it's a technical fault why I can't connect to Netflix and will be sorted in 24hrs. After reading these comments I'm not convinced

Got 2 pucks for whole home — or should I say had 2, since one’s decided to vanish from my Sky. TV stream? Not active, not manageable, just vibes. The other puck and Sky Go app still work perfectly fine, even without a streaming service. Oh, and both the streaming and activation sites are “restricted.” What a flawless experience… such a mess!

@Gabor44 if the second puck has lost its connection to your account using the steps here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/setting-up-sky-stream

 

There was an issue earlier this month with pucks being sent out without the necessary steps being taken at Sky's end but these should have been sorted.if tge puck wont link give Sky a call.
