@TigXC

The annual price rise occurs in April for UK customers. If you join or renew around that period the proposed increase is sometimes deferred for a few months and is then applied. It's kind of a grace period so you don't get hit by the price increase immediately.

No notification for me.  These increases are usually if you 'avoided' the increase in April.

...but at least you can nowadays cancel without ETC.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Re: [Sneaky] New Price Increases - August 2026

Too long to be honest!    And once my final contract period is up we were dropping Sky TV finally for good as we just don't watch it.

Saying that it's looks like we may be leaving earlier than I expected if their ''30 day notice period'' is what I think it is .... an early ''Out''?

Re: [Sneaky] New Price Increases - August 2026

Just received email and it states the increases as follows

Sky Signature £4

TNT Sports £3

Sky Sports Complete inc. Sky Sports+

Obviously these are specific to myself with Sky Signature double the amount stated.

Anyone else received price increase information?

Does Sky know what they are doing?

So, recently found my monthly subscription charges are going up as of the 11th November [and yes I had previously had the April one as well ... deep joy!] which I posted about on here the other day, go track it down.

Then today I get a new marketing email inviting me to ''unlock my free Six Month Netflix with Ads'' offer which will then be chargeable after the 6 months at an extra £5.50 a month .... but only thing is, I already have Netflix as part of my current sky package?

Hence my asking... does Sky know what they are doing?

Anyway, tried to contact them just now. But no one is available via online chat and it just directs me to this ''community''.    So tried calling them [don't really want to chat with ''Dorothy, Henry or James'' (so not their real names!!!)  in the deepest part of the Punjab TBH]  and so far I've got fed up with waiting 'on hold'.  Though I will probably try again tomorrow fool that I am.

But in the mean time ... has anyone else received an offer email for a service they already pay for and which is part of their current package?

Seems strange that a company that's deeply into communications is both hard to get hold of and is capable of sending out offers for products you already have maybe in the hope your as clueless as they are, fall into their offer trap and end up paying even more onto top of your ever increasing subscription?

Is it just..... Me?

Re: [Sneaky] New Price Increases - August 2026

@TigXC  There are quite a number of complaints on Trustpilot of Sky reps ringing customers with 'VIP rewards' offers for TV services that exceed the price the customer already pays...presume they hope to rope you in to a new contract and at a higher rate...perhapse they get a double bubble bonus🤪.
