Sky not installed

To start off, I’m writing this in the Accounts and Billing section.

I had Virgin Media installed in my apartment, but I cancelled the service and decided to switch to Sky. Sky sent an engineer out, but the engineer said the fibre line coming into the property either belongs to Virgin Media or needs to be fixed before Sky can install their service. I was told they would contact Virgin Media, or whoever is responsible, to get it sorted.

This was back in March, and it still hasn’t been installed. Despite this, I keep receiving bills. Every time I phone Sky, they tell me they will sort it out, but nothing ever happens.

Now I’m being threatened with bailiffs for not paying bills for a service I have never received. No doubt this will also end up affecting my credit record.

I’m at my wits’ end. After all the stress, inconvenience, and time this has caused me, I honestly feel they should be providing the service free of charge for a year.

You've been withholding payment?

There is a compensation scheme for delayed installs.  (Tip: you still need to pay bills)

Virgin use their own infrastructure.  What the engineer said seems irrelevant.  OpenReach (presumably who the engineer was from) would need to use their infrastructure or install it correctly...

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Re: Sky not installed

Just got off the phone with them again. They said I will be refunded the first bill that I paid and that the money should be back in my account within 24 hours. Time will tell.

I’m not paying for something I never received. I also told them to cancel the contract. They said they would put a clearance on my account., i asked to talk to a suprviser, they only have team leaders that dont talk to customers.
