I have upgraded my current iPhone to a new one, however the fee for paying the contract off early hasn'tn come out of my account and the previous contract is still active. I am also wondering whether I need to get a new SIM card because the current SIM in my new phone is from the old phone.

Using your SIM from your previous phone is the correct approach. (A new SIM will be a new phone number for starters).

If you have upgraded your phone then what is left on it to pay it off is added to your next available bill so have you checked to see if it is on your next bill which might be next months !

It was around 6 months left and the online bill shows the bill for the sim, and both of the phones for devices
