Sky mobile Charge

Hi there,
 
I am very disappointed in Sky Mobile services which is unfortunate for me to say.
 
I have paid off my iPhone 12 in April (which I have the receipt for) and you have been trying to charge me more money for that phone that I've already fully paid off. I saw the payment and I took the decision to move my money into a different account because I don't believe that I should be paying more money for a phone that I've fully paid off.
 
I'm now not able to use my phone services and can't make calls or use my data which is very frustrating.
 
Please let me know as to why this is as I do need my phone for work and social life and I'm not able to use it.

The payments being requested are probably for your data plan which still continues.

 

If you've cancelled your payment method your services will end up being restricted.


Restrictions are applied automatically and Sky agents can’t override this process. Sky won’t reinstate services until you’ve paid what they believe is owed and set up a new continuous payment method.

If your payment is two or more weeks overdue you will have to pay the next bill as well. If you’re in arrears for 56 days or more Sky can fully terminate your subscription. Any calls to Sky will only prompt you to make a payment.

Sky don't allow payment plans on overdue live accounts, nor will they consider promises to pay on or by a certain date.

Once your full payment has cleared and is in Sky’s account your services should be reinstated, but this may not be instant. (Any payment you make over a weekend or on a Bank Holiday won’t be processed until the following week).

You should be able to pay the bill and set up your direct debit via the MySky app or online using this link

My data plan is £25.50 which i am more than happy to pay for however there's also a charge for my phone (again, that i completely paid off and got an email to prove it) at an extra £48.75. i dont know why i need to be paying that amount if I've been told and i quote 'no further payments are due'. I need my phone for work purposes and I'm currently not able to use it. I'm more than happy to pay the £25.50 for my data plan but the extra £48.75 seems ridiculous!

I'm afraid you cannot withhold payment.

 

To fix this you need to pay what Sky believe to owe and then contact them to arrange appropriate corrections.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
