Sky equient has been returned but receiving letters from debt collectors

Hey there

 

i have posted about this before - the last time being in march 2023 but i can see the post has been removed but i thought the issue was resolved and im guessing the mods did too but sky's incompetence has creeped up again! 

So i will explain the whole issue: 

 

 

i had a sky account for about a year and a half maybe before cancelling sky. When i cancelled sky they sent me out a returns box. 

i had a main sky q box, remote for that, 3 mini sky q boxes with remotes for those.

 

The returns box they sent was insufficient and would only hold the original sky box, one mini and two remotes or something so i assumed that was all i needed to return. the letter sky sent was asking me to put stuff in like a sky router which i never had.

weeks later i began getting letters from sky about unreturned equipment but i just assumed it hadnt been received yet due to royal mail strikes etc or hadnt been scanned in their delivery depot.

 

then this changed to debt agency letters. Eventually i posted on here after logging into my sky account for the first time after cancelling sky and saw they wanted me to return the two sky q mini boxes and remotes. The letters they had sent never said this so id no clue. I actually thought i ones the mini boxes as i had to pay around £90 for each of them. Anyway. The person on the forum / sky agent - advised me to post them back to sky and gave me a label.

I brought the equipment down to the post office got my tracking receipt. Took photographs of it all being posted as i was warned on here sky are awful at accepting in old equipment.

 

i checked with royal mail at the time and it said my items had been received the next day.  

after posting on here and talking to sky and posting the equipment back i had no debt collectors contacting me.


problem has arisen - again though - ive been getting letters since June about owing the same amount to sky?  Different debt collectors but same thing! Sky clearly havent scanned my equipment even though they definitely received it all now! I am

genuinely annoyed about all the life admin this has wasted and id to pay for the postage materials to send the extra sky boxes. Before the last sky account we used it for twenty years and we only cancelled because the signal

in our new area was bad but i would never go near them again after their customer service has been a mess!

Have you still got the proof of delivery or an email from Sky saying they have your equipment ?

I still have the receipt from the post office with the tracking code that says it was delivered on the next day

Keep an eye out for an invite or blue chat bubble.

When the blue bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed.

Be reassured the email & message is from Sky and your details are safe and secure.
If you are using Safari please make sure that Hide IP Address is not checked in order to see the blue bubble. If you are having trouble finding this to check the settings, use another browser such as Firefox, Chrome etc.

I would also recommend that if not already on, that you turn email/private message notifications on to avoid missing any alerts

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

I came on here to post that it had been done in march as the sky employee i spoke to on here told me to post when i had posted it

 

but when i posted on here whoever responded was like i dunno why they said that as it isnt like we can check

 

the post is gone now tho but maybe mods can retrieve it
