Sky credit pending since at least 2020

Hello,

 

I discontinued my Sky broadband, talk and TV sometime towards the end of 2019 when I left Sky as an employee. I assumed - incorrectly, and perhaps foolishly so - that any credit that I had on my account would be automatically credited to me, or at the very least, I'd be informed of it. And so, I never bothered checking my Sky account for any credits that were due. Just today, I happened to notice that I've been having a credit of more than £60 on my account since the date of the oldest bill that I can view on the system (June 2023).

 

Is there any way for me to request this credit to be refunded to me please, possibly with interest, since my money has basically been sitting there for years now?

I’ve escalated your post to Sky and their Messaging Team should contact you tomorrow.

Look out for a post on this thread from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have just 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread periodically.

Firstly, you won't get interest. 

 

We can potentially help you get it refunded within 3-5 working days via the Messaging Team on here if you wish. Let us know on this thread if you want to do that. 


Note that if your payment method has been cancelled Sky will either have to reinstate your payment method or manually raise a cheque via a back office team and post it to you so it’ll it further delayed.

Before we can escalate it to Sky please confirm in your reply whether the payment method is still active.

If by payment method, you mean the bank account on which DD was set up, then yes - it's active.

My apologies for the off-topic question, but is there a way for me to see bills older than 2 years? It used to be possible previously, but looks like the website has been changed recently
