Sky Renewal Price is double my current bill

I have just received communication from Sky that my current contract is ending in July and phoned them to discuss the renewal price, as the email made no sense at all.

They have informed me my renewal price is £110 per month - my current contract is £56.50!! This is pretty much doubling the bill for the same services - surely this cannot be right? Has anyone else had this?

I asked what they could do and the lady on the phone effectively said 'Nothing, take it or leave it'. I am shocked.

@CCW

Perhaps try again nearer the end of the current discounts. It seems a bit early yet.

You need to negotiate or potentially amend your package which will now require a 24 month minimum term contract. Sky are not obliged to offer you another discount, and recent posts on here indicate that significant discounts are now harder to come by. If you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer may no longer be available when you call back.
