Hi,
Sky owe me £5 from 27/11/24 when I cancelled an order.
I have rung multiple times and been given multiple different excuses about when the refund would be received.
I cancelled the credit card registered with Sky on 16/12/24 and have rung Sky to advise that I would like a cheque to be issued.
Multiple advisors on a 90 minute phone call on NYE kept pushing for new bank details stating they can't issue cheques. Personally, it ring alarm bells that they want my bank or credit details when I am not an active customer and I've advised I am unhappy about sharing my data with a company that I have no subscriptions with. So that phone call ended with stalemate.
Next step is an official complaint to Sky followed by the Ombudsman.
Anyone know where I can I can email the complaint to?
TIA

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreTo be fair, I can see why Sky aren't keen on raising a cheque. The admin cost would almost certainly exceed the £5 value of the cheque, whereas an electronic direct debit or card payment would be much more cost efficient.
You could always set up a direct debit and cancel it as soon as you receive payment. Much easier to deal with under the Direct Debit Guarantee than a card payment.
