Scam?

Hi just checking I’ve received a call from this number and said they are calling from sky and have promotion for me. I just wanted to verify the number with you cuz I don’t really trust it

A quick Google search on that number appear to confirm it is a commonly-used scam number.

There is a high chance based on this that it is a scam call as scammers are known to be making such calls.

Did they say you're entitled to a discount - usually 30%-50%? That's one of the latest scams, the other is saying you need a new SIM card to get 5G.

Yes, they did say there was a 40% discount. They actually called me twice. The first time, I reached a point where they asked me to go through a two-step Google security verification and approve a login via YouTube. It seemed very suspicious, so I stopped. A couple of days later, they called again, which is why I'm asking about this here.

100% scam. Did you give them any information like account details? If yes then most likely the 2fa code is in order to access your Sky account. I'd recommend changing your account password.
