Scam call ?

Just received a call from a uk call center saving they were sky 

saying they wanted to give me discounts for a being a loyal customer 

couldn't give me discount on my existing account but could give me a tablet, phone or sim card

offered me a tablet for £3.47 a month 

wanted my password

said I didn't know 

asked for my mother maiden name 

said I didn't know

they gave me my current package details as believed I thought it was a scam 

I said if they could send an email for me to look over 

said they couldn't as I hadn't brought anything then told me to check the website 

nothing any where 

be careful people

@Kew1  While it is possible Sky do outbound calls for mobile sales no one on the forum can say for sure if it was indeed Sky.

i can confirm they have outbound sales advisors specifically for exsisting sky customers of tv and or broadband and other teams for exsisting sky mobile customers. calling hours are 10-8 during week and 10-6 weekends
