SKY VIP Paramount+ Offer

Is this failing to work for anybody else? I signed up to Basic and Annual as the instructions say, but the promo box wasn't auto filled.

I tried to then manually add the promo, and it didn't error and say it was invalid (like it did if I tried something else), but also it doesn't seem to have added anything. Nothing that I can see to say free for 1 year.

I went all the way through, and it looks like I am just signed up for a 7 day trial, there is no promo line that I have seen mentioned in previous threads. It's a brand new email address (and I have tried on other browsers and devices, and with other emails), so unsure why it's not registered the promotion.

It should have the words " promo offer 12 months free underneath the payment date  if you promotion period, other wise it  look like like you have only got the 7 day free trial period until the the next billing date. Though this is vip offer was by Sky, the only involvement of Sky in this offer is giveing you the promotional code to put in paramount + web site,  your actual subscription is with paramount direct and   any Questions of your subscription should be taken up. Though I see the forum has invited you for a chat on the matter I don't think in this case  in Sky remit to do any thing about getting your premonition period established, I think in this case this can only be sorted by talking to paramount + them selves as that where you account is with, nothing to do with Sky.
Have you had a email from paramount plus confirming your subscription that should confirm the 1 year  promotion and advise you of the date when they will actually start actual payments.

Re: SKY VIP Paramount+ Offer

It did not have those words, and I've just had an email saying that the 7 day trial has ran and my subscription  has been cancelled, so it didn't roll over either.

Unsure how it would be a Paramount issue if the code no longer works or has expired and is still being shown on the MySky app?

You say on your initial post that it's a brand new email address? Did you use an email address different from the one on the Sky account?

Have you had the free annual subscription previously? There is a line in the T&Cs which states that the code may be shared with Sky in order to administer the promotion. If Sky s automated systems tell Paramount that the email is not known that may block you from taking it again.

I've had the free annual offer myself and long since cancelled but still have a years free offer on the MySky app, despite it saying that current and previous subscribers are not eligible. I'm not going to try it and see though.

I noticed you say that your paramount + subscription  has cancelled after the 7 days free  trial. After you signed up for your paramount + subscription onthe paramount + web site using the code supplied by Sky, did you immediately cancel that subscription?  If so at the end of the sign up process an the paramount  web site using a pop warning message comes up advising you that if you cancel your subscription within the 12 month promotion period you subscription will immediately be cancelled  or as your case at the end of the initial 7 day trial and you will the remainder of the 12 month promotion period period. As you have cancelled even before the promotion period you have unfortunately lost that promotion. Though it may say it Skys blub when getting the vip code from them that canceling you still have the full promotion period that information in wrong. Though Sky give you the code that is the only involvement in this offer,  your actual paramount + subscription is with paramount direct  who you have taken your payment details And therefore subjunctive to there t&c  which is different what Sky info.  The actual promotion is though promoted by Sky as vip offer in reality   Just away of  paramount + getting new customer which Sky have no involvement. I think something should be done about the way Sky are promoting this vip offer and the miss information init. You second one I read about falling fowl to this misleading information by Sky and have lost there promotion period of this offer. However as I said paramount do warn you about this I there set up process.

@DaveDrizen Not true about cancelling the free year offer at least, I cancelled mine very early in and it happily told me the date it would turn off, which was the day before the annual renewal date.

Re: SKY VIP Paramount+ Offer

@DaveDrizen,

Paramount have explicitly told me that the code is expired.

I cancelled after I had checked with them that it hadn't worked because I couldn't see anywhere that it went through, there was no promo line as I have seen on other people's screenshot here. Otherwise I would have automatically been charged for a year.

It should also show your next billing data as a year and 7 days time, so shouldn't cancel before that anyhow.
