Re: Router
The requirement to return Sky's equipment is in the terms and conditions you agreed to.

Re: Router
Not a helpful comment. I wouldn't have had to go back and read the terms and conditions when upgrading the package. I checked all emails when signing up for my new package and cannot see any literature to advise to return the old box

@Cherithc18 surely you shouldn't have to read terms and conditions to know that major electrical items like routers and TV boxes need to be returned at end of contract or upgrade. Its common sense really and all communications/broadcast companies have such a requirement to return.
Sky Q 1TB UHD
LG TV
Sky Mobile
Sky Max Full Fibre 500 broadband

@Cherithc18 You should have received new terms and conditions when you upgraded and that would have included the necessary information about returning old equipment, even if you didn't receive new terms it would still have been covered in the original terms and conditions of your original contract.
The only advice anyone can give here would be to call Sky and tell them what you've done and see if they will waive the charge, just don't be surprised if they won't.

Nevertheless factual.
All hardware is loaned - you should expect to return any item from any supplier but they may not enforce it. Not sure what else we can say but you may well have to pay the non-return fee unless they agree to waive it.
