Refund... after leaving Sky?

I left Sky in May 2023, but as monthly charges are taken in advance there is a credit on my account for the remaining days in May after my cancellation took effect. I foolishly assumed a refund would be issued to the account my monthly Direct Debit was paid from, but this hasn't happened (yet!). There is still a 'credit' showing on my - now redundant - My Sky account... What's the best way to contact Sky to request a refund? TIA

@ukdeejay

If you would prefer to call, if you already have a Sky Mobile or a Sky Talk landline call free by just dialling 150, otherwise you can use:
https://www.sky.com/help/home
UK: Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number.
ROI: change the flag in the bottom right corner of the link to the ROI flag then scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0818 number.
(The forum doesn’t allow us to type the numbers in full).

Be aware that as with most large companies nowadays the start will be automated and these automated responses may try to send you back to the forum.

@ukdeejay

These refunds can take up to 6 weeks from the last day of your connection. If you ring Sky they can hopefully reimburse you within 3-5 working days but it you don't want to call let us know on this thread and we can try to get you some help on here.

Re: Refund... after leaving Sky?

Thanks @Daniel0210 -

As it's barely 6 weeks since my contract ended I'll give them a little longer, but can you provide a suitable number to call for this should it come to that?

You don't need to give them anytime as we can alert the messahing team via here if you want because they can issue the refund to you, so let us know if you want this doing ?

@caesarome If anything CAN be done without me sitting on a phone for an eternity - or divulging personal details on this Forum! - that would be appreciated...

@ukdeejay

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you sometime tomorrow regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page.

This link explains how this works:

When the chat bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed. This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.

Re: Refund... after leaving Sky?

I have similar problem.

I left Sky in early Aug but still haven't received refund for the monthly fee which cover Aug-Sept period.

May I seek Sky employee to help as well? Many thanks.

@arnold21
I’ve escalated your post to Sky and the Messaging Team may get in touch with you tomorrow.

Look out for a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. Once that appears you have 48 hours to click on it and join the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to each chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky are not instant so you’ll need to regularly check the chat thread.
