I spoke to someone and was assured that my services would not be going off as I made a promise to pay on the 23rd November

@Babs5611  If you owe Sky money they will restrict your services, this is an automated process and no employee can override it regardless of what they told you

 

Service will only be reinstated once any outstanding balance is cleared in full and  a new direct debit setup

 

Sky won;t reinstate service on the promise of a payment.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Whoever told you that @Babs5611 was wrong as Sky have never done "promises to pay" so if a bill isn't paid for whatever reason then the services are restricted until it is. If you pay by a direct debit then you have 10 days grace as Sky will try again 10 days later to take the payment.
