Just had a call from ?? Sky telling me I hadn't used my movie voucher and then explained about playlists and 'find my remote' . They then continued telling me I'm entitled to 3 months free insurance. They asked me to confirm my email and address , then after reading to me policy terms and conditions asked my for my account details. I asked why they needed this when it was free. The response was very abrupt 'okay if you don't want to continue' and they hung up. Is this a scam?
I was even asked what size TV I have, but they knew I had sky glass! They must have been given some of my information .I really thought it was genuine. Sky already have direct debit details so why would they ask again?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIf this call was from Sky then the first thing they should have asked you for was your telephone password, if they didn't do this then you are right to be cautious.

Sounds like it could be from Domestic & General who often try to flog insurance for Sky Products so not a scam. However they have been known to be quite pushy and I personally consider them to be pests and would never deal with them. Info below..

I agree. It has all the hallmarks of a call from D&G. As part of your Sky terms and conditions you agree that Sky can share your data with them.
