They sent out a new skyQ mini box and the ups driver took the old 1 put it into the box and sealed it and now sky keep asking me to return their equipment

All you can do now is to call Sky and explain what has happened.
150 is the free number to use from a Sky Mobile or Sky Talk phone otherwise under "Need more help ?" link at the bottom of the page on this link is the number to call Sky on:
Try saying nothing when spoken to by the bot.
