RENEW CONTRACT

THIS IS A GOOD ONE.... my contract is up for renewal in july. so i call sky to see what deal they could offer i was given offer £ 58.58 when i asked if i could get a better deal he gave me another number to call , when i did i was offered a deal £63.50  but if i was not happy to call a diffrent number when i did they tried to sell me broard band but i was not interested i was offered £63.50,  i was told that the 1st price i was offered was ffrom the retail team os i ask to be transfer back to then which they could not , so i call the 1st number i call i was told i could NOT have the same offer and i was given a price of £72.50i ask about £58.58 and was told that was a one time offer so i said could i talk to the complants dept i was to they could only log a complant , so they then said they would put mr thought to a customer liaison person ,  when i did and i told then what happened they apolgised and i was offered a price of £58.50 but i asked if  could have some tim think about i was told they could not guarantee i would get the same price , but if i called the cancellation team i would hopefully get the same deal.....so i am going to distress for a while on my next move..... but  Sky need to think about the way they deal with exiisting customers  . i bet if i was a new customer they would be bending over backwards to get my custom

@johnson62

We do regularly advise on here that if you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer may no longer be available when you call back.

Better discounts are offered to new customers as an incentive for them to join.

If you choose to leave and go with another provider then in 18/24 months you'll be in the same position with that provider and if you want you'll be able to return to Sky as a new customer.

I'm afraid that's normal - any offer made to you cannot be guaranteed to be kept if you don't accept it there and then.

No basis of a complaint really...

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Re: RENEW CONTRACT

Well just an update I have now negotiated a deal  with EE at £15 for six months and then going up to £20 for 2years it's a TV Package that's mirrors Sky ....so after over 25 years with sky is will be goodbye once I set up thing I will be giving notice 🤬

So I've just gone throuth the 'renew contract' with Sky.

Every agent says - "after 18 months with your new provided the bill will go up a lot" - YES - as Sky's has just done.
