As a Sky Diamond VIP, I find it extraordinary that they aren't able to offer me better prices now that my packages are coming to the end of contract. Talking to an agent is so time consuming as they have to keep referring to their supervisor. After a recent lengthy call, I was advised to call back in the first week of November for Black Friday deals. I shouldn't have to. Surely the very best offers should be available to all vip customers at all times? Otherwise what's the point?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAs the majority of customers are VIP customers of some level or another it has little bearing on the price you're offered.

The best offers are always for new customers, thats how it's done, being VIP has no bearing on discounts.
You have 2 options: Haggle until your happy, or leave.
Sky are not obliged to match any previous discounts at all.

Find out moreYou need to forget about VIP as it counts for nothing when it comes to what you pay especially as every customer Sky has will have VIP on their account. You current contract hasn't ended yet which might be why they are not willing to offer you another discount so you need to do it a day or two before the term on it does end.

In today's market the length of tenure with a company means very little when it comes to discounted services, what does seem to count a bit more is being prepared to cancel and follow through, then you may get a more enticing offer.
