Prices aren't fixed.
The contract stipulates Sky can ( and usually do) raise the prices once a year ( usually in April). Some customer who subscribe to new contracts from the price rise annoucement to when they kick in are typically put on a 60 day price protection which means they don't see the price increase until the 3rd month of their new contract
