@Sam_26

Sky send the emails / letters out in batches so the call centres aren't swamped with phone calls from customers who have queries. I haven't had my email yet and last year it was the 8th March when it arrived.

Once it arrives it contains a dedicated number to call if you wish to leave. You have 30 days to call after receiving the notification. Leaving penalty free only applies to Sky+, Sky Q, and Broadband/Talk.

@DaveDrizen although the number connects to Sky's IVR using the number in the email ,tells the system it is likely to be regarding the increase. Sky use numerous of these numbers which is why it is wirth using the number you find from a communication or on the appropriate help page it helps route your call to thecright people.

I tried the number on my email once I found it just come to the same system  that I normal get I hang up and used the number I usualy call Sky on it a lot cheaper for me to use. Once though to a customer adviser I had no problem discussing my contract in respect to the April increase

Re: Price increase

I guess an £8 increase on my subscription package is worth it, but it makes the £4.99 subscription that I would've paid for HBO MAX seem less of a bargain.
