Prepaid bill ????

my bill comes out on the 10th of every month. I have decided to prepay to pay it off for the month. However when I paid it it said the transaction couldn't be made and that no money would come out my bank however when I go into online banking money has been taken out as a pending transaction. The bill doesn't come up as paid on the MySky app. Could someone help me figure out if it has been paid or not ????

I have had this happen with other transactions and also ATM withdrawals 

 

The money is most likely being held as pending by the bank until claimed (or not claimed) by the company, In this case Sky, that you were trying to pay

 

One of 2 outcomes will take place, Either Sky will take the payment after the bank holiday and this will show in your bank transactions and on your Sky account, Or, The payment failed to go through and the money will appear back in your bank account 

 

Either way,  Your better giving it about 5 working days for either outcome

 

Also its worth noting that if you have a direct debit/continuous card payment set up then manual payments are not advised
