Post humous refund

I previously paid for my fathers Sky TV services. He recently died and I have been sent a refund as a cheque in his name but I cannot pay it into an account - his accounts are frozen .  Can the refund instead be paid directly to the originating bank account or alternatively re-issued in my name?

@Helio934 your bank will be able to accept the cheque, once the way your father's financial affairs will be administered has been determined.

As I was the payee of his TV services - the DD was from my bank account - can the cheque instead be made out in my name?

@Helio934 you would have to check with Sky, but I very much doubt it. The money became under your father's control when you paid into his Sky account.
