Every month I pay my bill myself and then a week or more afterwards I get notifications from my bank stating that sky have tried to take the same payment from my account even tho I've paid it. I don't understand why it's been happening each month for the past seven months. I've been with sky for six plus years and it's never happened before until recently. I've tried contacting sky but to no avail.. what do I do

This is happening as Sky's terms and conditions state that you have to have a regular payment setup on your account so something like a direct debit so they can take the payment automatically from you each month which they are doing.

Where you are going wrong is that you do not and should not need to make these manual payments as doing so doesn't always pay the bill but just adds a credit to your account.
