Paying sky credit agreement in full

Hello,

I am trying to pay off my Sky credit agreement in full but I am being blocking by an error page. This has been ongoing for a week. I’m starting to think that Sky don't want me to pay it!

Has anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

Even without the error the best way to pay off a credit agreement in full is by calling Sky and letting them take the payment from you.

150 is the free number to use from a Sky Mobile or Sky Talk phone otherwise under "Need more help ?" link at the bottom of the page on this link is the number to call Sky on:

Thank you? Do you know if there's an online chat because it can be a struggle to talk on the phone sometimes.

There is no onine chat I'm afraid so calling will be the only way to get this paid.

Been over 3 months to pay off my credit agreement. I reckon by cancelling the direct debit might get them to contact you for payment

....and get you a default on your credit file.

What's the problem with paying off your credit agreement? What have Sky said?

Impossible to get through to Sky by phone. They're not interested in customers only cash in the bank

No, not impossible, as numerous posts here daily can attest. Unless you're already in arrears. If so Sky will expect you to put it right before they'll speak to you.

Re: Paying sky credit agreement in full

I'm trying to do the same thing, and getting the same issue.

I just want to pay off my credit agreement in full, but can't seem to do it.

I have several chronic illnesses and am disabled. Making phonecalls is very difficult for me (often impossible as I struggle to talk). I'm not being cr*p or "scared" of making calls or anything ridiculous, I'm ill and often can't do it.

Besides, there is literally a button there on the mobile credit page online, which says "Make a payment" (or something similar). I've used it before to pay off a credit agreement in full online (for a larger amount than this too). But it won't allow it.

My guess in this case is that it's because my phone was stolen so the SIM has been blocked. But that still doesn't make sense imo, as I'm not trying to take out more credit, I'm trying to pay off the account - to give Sky my money. Plus, there is a button and facility there for doing this.

In 2024 it's ridiculous that this can't be done online. I totally get that for some things a phone call might be needed for security reasons, but surely not for giving Sky my money to pay off an agreement in full.

If there's any Sky Staff on here can you please help (what is the @  for Sky staff if they are here, so I can tag them?).

Thank you 🙏

@sootyL

It might be worth getting yourself registered with Sky's accessibility team as there are other contract options that you will then be able to use that does not involve calling:

Re: Paying sky credit agreement in full

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I am registered with them already, have been for some years. But they can't help with Sky Mobile, only with SkyTV. I tried using the accessibility team over the weekend re: my stolen mobile, but they replied to my Live Chat saying they can't help with Mobile issues and that I had to ring. Which I feel is another issue that needs resolving by Sky to be honest.
