I am not impressed with sky I was billed by 319 euros which is rather odd as I am on a basic tv wifi package then told my wifi contract was up. Then told my package price had changed and I had to pay that amount which is not right.

I rang sky support but they could not help me got a fellow who said no you ha.

I hung up and emailed complaints but not heard anything for a few weeks although it said we acknowledge you're complaint.

Then got on my email you have an over due bill and you're services will be effected. I have been a sky customer for six years and never have I had such hassle for a bill that clearly is their mistake.

If your minimum term is finished and you were on discount price the price will go up to full list price. Sky don't inform you of the change they just increase your bill. It up to customer to get in touch with Sky to negotiate a new minimum term to get discounts. However if you were a new customer don't expect the same size discount you got as a new customer, as Sky entice new customers with big discounts, however once you are a existing customer the discounts are a lot smaller . You say you are only  on a basic tv WiFi package. Have you looked at your bill to see what you are actually being charged for. You can do that on the my Sky app either way on your phone ar tablet  or on your Sky box . You can also look at you bill by logging on to the Sky web site Sky.com. Either way if you do this you can view your present bill, past bills and forth coming bills all fully iteam used showing the full price and any discounts that has been applied to each iteam in your package.

Re: Over charged twice

I have been a sky customer for six years so do know about the price hike if contract deals end. And hike of 317 euros is clearly not right even if charges changed because of package change. I did ring to get deals but then thought sky Ireland clearly needs to listen to customers and I sadly have decided that because of the awful service I received will not seek a renewal of subscriptions with sky. Thank you for the help but sky still have not been in touch and not has my problem been resolved but appreciate the advice thank you.

I find it astonishing that apparently nobody at Sky can explain what the 317 euros is about.

Re: Over charged twice

I checked my bank statement and sky had taken the money for the months bill and even I had paid in advance and when I looked at my sky bill online it said paid and in credit. Then went on it again and got a flash message saying over due bill of 317 euros and I took screen shot of the bank statement and sent it to the complaints of sky ireland and just keep asking me for my information over and over again not giving me any explanation and saying please provide us with your issue and details which I had done several times. So today I have asked to cancel my sky subscriptions

@Marll

As frustrating as it is you may have a problem cancelling whilst the system thinks you owe that amount.

Have you managed to look at your present bill on the My Sky  app as I suggested in my earlier post.  It will have a total at the bottom of 317 euros but above, that it will show each iteam of you package individually iteamised that making up that total. Therefore if you think are things on that bill that are not right you should be able to ask Sky  why you are being charged that price for those items. And if there are iteams on there you think should not be on there you could also ask why they are there

@Marll if you made a manual payment, it will most likely have been credited against your next bill.

If subsequently your normal normal direct debit or automated card payment didn't reach Sky for some reason, your current bill would have been left unpaid.

Was it 319 euros with both the manual payment do you made and the direct debit one ?

What shows on your next bill so do you see a credit ?

What were the individual amounts of the two bills that made up 319euros were they both for the same amount and they were for the same bill taken in error. You should be in credit and should be shown on your next bill. Again you can look at that on the my Sky app.

Re: Over charged twice

I did that and still see the 317 euros over charge and get no help, and these awful messages. I called agent and they said no bill was paid yet my services have been cut off and then the bank said sky had taken the payments so clearly an error on their part but I can tell you that I have done everything and still no help what so ever so will just end my contract as I am fed up and clearly they dont respect my six years of always having the sky bills paid and never had a problem like this what so ever. My neighbour said I should write to the  sky complaints office in Ireland and send the emails, and the fact the bill was paid twice. But anyway thanks for the help I am just going to get another wifi and tv provider and leave sky.

Re: Over charged twice

Hi again I reading you post again , now I live in end land and I know the sky packages in pounds sterling I converted your 319 euros into English money and it works at about £274, however  even if you had a most expensive tv package with everything and multiroom room with maximum amount of mini boxes would still not  come to a monthly amount like that. Also the fact you can't see that amount when you look at your bills  and from reading your various post, speaking to Sky can't find that amount on your account. Points  to me that may have been a second account opened in your name. Now if I look my bank statement it only show that direct debit from Sky has been paid on you account it dose show the account reference which only be seen  if you actually look at the dictect debit info that account. Therefore looking at your daily bank account info you could assume that all payments to Sky are being paid on the same direct debit, but have actually checked with you bank to see  if they hold more than one direct debit mandate in your name on your account. As that would be a answer to why you can not see that amount on your bills and why Sky could find on your account, what that amount is for.I hope I am wrong but might be  somthing you want to check with your bank.

@Marll

Can you post an images of these bills and if you do please blank out your name and account/credit agreement numbers.
