Open reach Compensation credit

I was supposed to have my broadband upgraded to full fibre a couple of months ago however due to problems with open reach they weren't able to complete the job when they said they would and therefore was  eligible for compensation.

My normal monthly bill is £67 I'm just interested in how the compensation is paid as my bill for June is showing as -£67 due to a credit adjustment in May. However, the total amount of the credit adjustment is 125. So it a case that when the June direct debit comes around, they won't take the money and if so, what happens to the rest of it as my next bill in July looks normal. Hope that makes sense.

@Faye04

If you have been given £125 in compensation credit then that will be used to pay your bills until it has been used up. So as that is the case no money should be taken via your usual payment method. If you look at the bottom of your June bill it should show a balance so what does it say ?

Re: Open reach Compensation credit

  • It says on my June bill
  • bill statement 67.50
  • credit adjustment received £-124.80.
  • Balance - Credit £57.30

so the credit and the bill adds up the credit adjustment. But my next bill is back to normal. So they have used the 57.30 left from the credit for the next bill. So where does it go , I.e do I get a refund

No, the credit will be completely used against charges.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
