On going issues with cancelling Sky TV and broadband

Well, where do I begin?

This all started in February 2026 when I received an email from explaining that there would be a price increase, and due to this increase, I would be able to stop my Sky TV/Broadband services incurring NO charges. Great, so I thought. My notice was given, I signed up to EE broadband and all appeared to be going smoothly, until the none stop emails started. YOU owe us money! YOU did not cancel you TV/Broadband, YOU must pay us now or we will cancel your services!

So, I engaged in multiple Live chats and telephone conversations where most of the advisors said that it was just a glitch in the system and that my account, although cancelled, was stuck in the ‘pending cancellation’ phase. I was even instructed to cancel my direct debit (I have the chat log saved with this statement made by the advisor, 22/03/2026 @ 13:18) and Sky still tried to take money off me.

The most recent email says that I need to make a payment of £429.68 to reinstate my services, bear in mind Sky have confirmed that they have received my 4 mini box’s, 1 2tb sky Q box, 1 broadband HUB and 1 booster, so I have no way of using any services if they were to be reinstated.

All I want is the emails to stop, and my account to show £0 owing.

If some at Sky could please sort this out then I would be most grateful.

Hi @Jonny+B+brum   Did you pre-warn Sky that you are invoking the no early termination fees and will be switching? Please note, see Welcome below for information about this community.

Yes and no, I gave notice as per the email they sent explaining about the Price increase. I didn't let them know I was switching as I didn't know who I would be going at the time.
