Not received notification of price changes
I'm aware of the upcoming price changes due to the numerous news articles and can see that my bill will increase come April however I've still not had any email regarding this and would like to cancel however live chat are telling me I need to wait to get the email notification otherwise I will be charged early termination fees. I'm obviously concerned that I've not yet had this email and it seems quite late, does anyone know when the email batches run up until? Or alternatively does anyone know who I can contact to find out if I should have had this email/letter yet? The live chat advisor I spoke to just kept saying "Sky Direct" send them but could not provide anyway to get a concrete answer as to whether I should have received the notification

I had my email this year one day earlier (07/03) than last year.
Sky send out the emails / letters in batches so the call centres aren't overwhelmed with customers all calling at the same time with queries. I'm not aware of a date that the notifications end.
NOTE: I only provide help on the forum boards so Direct Messaging is switched off

@The8BitKnight Last year the final batch of notifications were sent out 18th march
sky send out based on customer billing date and not calendar month
so as long as you receive your notification 31 days before your April payment due date sky have met their contractual obligations to you

That's fair and I certainly understand that they'll meet their obligations it would just be helpful from a customer perspective to have some way to actually find out if I should have received it by now, surely Sky have some way of knowing when it was sent as otherwise people could just pretend they'd received it when contacting to cancel? I presume though that if they do have a method of checking that it's just not open to customers and standard customer service advisors based on the fact that live chat were unable to tell me

What date in April is your billing date? Mine is the 26th, last year I received my email on March 17th. Expecting it to arrive on a similar day this year.

That might make sense, mine is the 28th so presumably if it is based on billing date then mine will arrive around the same time.

Mine is the 1st of the month and I got my email on the 20th of Feb so that does track as 8 or 9 days or so before your March billing date.

I'm in the same position. Waiting, as want to cancel and get a cheaper alternative that does the same thing!!
Basically they send emails out in batches to try and minimise "flooding" the call centres.
my billing date is the 28th of the month so should be able to cancel before I pay an inflated bill.

Sorry if this sounds daft, but I've received my email of price increase, am I right in thinking I can now, sign up with a new provider, and cancel Sky penalty free if I call before the 31 days are up? All a bit confused 🫤

You can leave penalty free if you have Sky+, Sky Q, and Sky Broadband/Talk and to do so you must call the number shown on the letter to give your notice of 31 days for the TV and 14 days for broadband and talk.

Ah okay. I can not do it via the One Touch switch way? Like I would do it if was out of contract? Thanks for your reply

You can do it via the one touch switch but if you are in the minimum term of a contract you would need to call Sky first otherwise you might find that early termination charges are applied.

@Mickee_P did you get your price rise email yet? My billing date is also the 28th but I've not yet had mine.
