I've been with Sky since 1984. The main reason for staying has always been the exemplary customer service. The teams in Dunfermline and Newcastle are always a joy to talk to, they sort out my problems without any conflict or snide remarks. They 100% of themselves to resolve my questions and always find the time for a nice chat afterwards. I would recommend them to everyone.
My personal circumstances have me dealing with the accessibility team. As always they go out of their way to give me their very best all of the time. However, recently my calls have been going to Bulgaria. The staff there are very unfriendly. They lie about things. I asked to be transferred to the UK accessibility department and I was told that Sky had closed all UK based call centres and that all calls were with the Bulgarian and Indian centres now. This is not true at all. They have refused to transfer me countless times and hung up on me more times than I can count.
its such a shame that a company with such a rich history of great service would tarnish their reputation just to save a few bucks and farm their customers overseas.
