No return
When I rang up and told you I'd split up with my partner and I couldn't get into the house. You told me to tell her to bin it and now I've just been charged for it so I'm not happy with that

Re: No return
If that was really what you were told it was poor advice. I would have suggested asking a family member or mutual friend to get the equipment on your behalf.
You haven't said whether the loaned equipment was actually disposed of but if it wasn't, get it returned and keep your proof of posting.
