No longer with Sky, but keep getting emails to update payment
I feel like smashing my phone, I am so frustrated!
I left Sky, and returned all equipment 2 months ago. I keep getting emails to update my payment method, but cannot get to speak with anyone about this.
The AI bot just keeps going round in circles, and when I ring, all I get is :We have asked you to contact us to update your payment method...it won't let me go any further!
Help! I need a human!

Re: No longer with Sky, but keep getting emails to update payment
@mazscho that's most likely because Sky believe you owe them money, even if you don't think so.

Re: No longer with Sky, but keep getting emails to update payment
It sounds like you're still in arrears with Sky which is why Sky won't take your call until you've paid what they believe you owe.

@mazscho reinstate your payment method as they've requested, and they'll take payment.

Wait, Sky won't let you talk to them if they think you owe them money? That sounds shady as anything.

Re: No longer with Sky, but keep getting emails to update payment
Completely normal. Any calls to Sky will request the OP pays what is believed to be owed. Once it's cleared and in Skys account the OP will be able to call Sky. Any mistake at Skys end will mean a reimbursement being issued.

That is ridiculous. I get that people may fall behind on bills but to refuse them access to speak to a human just seems like penny pinching to me.

Quite apart fr9m the fact that non-paymemt is a breach of contract, the reality is there's no point in talking to Sky if you're in arrears. There's nothing they'll be willing to do.
