No call back
I am getting sick of the customer service Sky are providing. I have had an ongoing complaint with them about my broadband billing for 3 month now. I phone them every week to chase them up and every time they promise to phone me back. They never do. I have screenshot of online conversations with staff promising my bills will be adjusted and they still haven't done it. I have cancelled my direct debit and threatened them with contacting the ombudsman countless times and they still haven't dealt with my complaint. How else am I supposed to get through to them. 3 month! This is beyond a joke!

Re: No call back
Tempting as it might seem cancelling the payment method is definitely not recommended.
Doing that is going to cause you additional problems. Your services will be restricted, you won't be able to call Sky, you wont be able to cancel, late payment fees will be added and eventually Sky could involve a debt recovery company which may affect your credit rating.

I concur - if there is an overpayment then it will eventually be credited.
Withholding payment will not resolve the issue.
