Is it possible to get a reminder from Sky that a new Broadband or TV bill is ready to view (and that payment will be taken in X days). Currently money is withdrawn by Sky without a headsup, yet with every other DD I have, I will get a courtesy notice of a pending withdrawl.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreJust remember that the payment won't be processed on the normal date if it falls on a weekend or a bank holiday.
edit: I get a reminder for Sky mobile.

As the billing and payment dates will be the same each month (with the caveat that payments aren't taken on weekends) you can add a recurring monthly reminder to your phone for at day each month.

I thought that was the case, they should send you a courtesy email though in my book. One to think about when I recontract 😉

Yes I understand, its not my point though when other companies send out a reminder.

That's opposite to mine, but there you go. Under the DD guarantee they must tell you if the amount changes, so if I make a chargeable call or rent a video etc, I should get a bill amendment notification then?

I'm pretty sure that if Sky was operating outside the requirements of the direct debit scheme, they would have been jumped on by now.

OK noted, cannot say I'm happy about this though, a variable bill should be actively notified like my other ones are, but we are where we are 🙄
