Sky are installing next week. Finally got some 'help'. from Virgin. Here's their message, what should I do, please???
To confirm, this means you’ll need to contact your new provider, who will notify us immediately of your intention to switch. We’ll then send you an email to make sure you’ve got everything you need to make an informed decision about switching. If you’re happy to proceed with your new provider, we’ll be notified of your proposed install date. Once your installation completes, your Virgin Media services will cease. Your notice period will be in line with your install date and there will be no overlap of services, or bills and you’ll only be charged for any services that we’ve provided you with. You’ll need to give your new provider some basic information, and all of this can be found on your most recent Virgin Media bill. Please keep in mind that if we don’t receive a request from your new provider, your services will continue to be active with VMO2, and you will be billed accordingly.

Confirm with Sky that they have notified VM accordingly.

We are also waiting for sky to install their service swapping from Virgin to them also a disaster. No leaway on dates given which were in October 2024 . Now 09/01 /2025 and still not been installed. Just keeping fingers crossed that virgin do not just go and disconnect us... Sky / openreach service very very unacceptable..

My problem is that I don't know how to speak with a human being at Sky, so they can officially liasie with Virgin. Do you possibly have a number that I can use, I wonder? My worry is that if it is not 'official' then Virgin could impose additional charges...
Thanks very much for your helpful responses, much appreciated.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreVirgin will charge you for the use of their services as long it's active... In theory, Sky should 'takeover' the line and Virgin automatically bill you until that point.
There is only the published number to call Sky on their help page.
