Hi All,
I have been with Sky for 6 years but moving soon. I was going to move my account to new property but have found out dishes are not allowed the the Grade II listed property. Even though it is listed, it's just a small flat so I am not rich! I still have nearly a year left on my contract - anyone know the rules on exit fees in circumstances beyond control?!

You may have options, however: does the flat have connection to a communal setup? And have you thought about Sky Stream as a non-dish alternative? Probably best all round to give Sky a call.

To cancel you’ll need to contact Sky and see what they say giving the required notice of 31 days. Be aware, the latest T’s and C’s for TV subscriptions state you can only cancel within a minimum discounted term if Sky agree to it. If they do allow it you’ll end up paying off the rest of the discounted term so a years subs in your case.

Our flat has it's own entrance so we are not part of the communal set up!

What was the outcome? I've just moved and my flat faces the wrong way for a dish to be fitted so then engineer told me I can't get sky tv any more but I just took out a new contract.
