Misleading marketing

• Was anyone else given misleading information by Sky to sell their products? I had Sky broadband and TV installed today. I changed to Sky as I was promised all my previous TV subscriptions for £25 a month. They said I'd get Netflix, Disney, Paramount, Sky Cinema, Now TV, HBO, Hayu, Discovery and more for £25. Turns out that's not true. I have just logged in to set my TV up and there is no Now TV,  I have to pay extra for Netflix, Sky Cinema, Paramount etc. So disappointed .

@AlC775  Now TV has never been included with Sky TV, Now TV isn't needed if you subscribe to Sky in any case.  So if yoiu were told that the agent is incorrect with Now Tv being included.

At £25 per month iot sounds like you have essentials, Ultimate would include Netflix, Disnet + etc as details here https://www.sky.com/tv/ultimate-tv-package?irct=web-tv_tv-gbr-compare-packages-utv-learn

Cinema is a premium add onn as well as Sky Sports so would never be gotten at such a low price.

Did you get confirmation of your new package by email, duid you read this 1st?

Yes I was told, and understood from the list sent, that I'd get the same service as i was previously paying for separately and more. Turns out Sky Cinema is an extra at a cost, I have to pay for Netflix standard and Disney standard. First World problem I know but I was not told everything would be with ads or additional subscriptions. I was told Paramount Plus was included. Apparently not. Just really disappointing. Should have realised it was too good to be true. So I will look for an alternative provider now and cancel.

There's no way that was ever going to work financially if you were expecting the non-advertising supported versions of the apps.

In the Sky Ultimate TV bundle:

Netflix Standard with Ads

Discovery+ Entertainment (with advertising)

HBO Max Basic with Ads

Disney+ Standard with Ads

Hayu content (launched today)

Sky Cinema is an extra-cost add-on to Ultimate TV which then unlocks Paramount+ access 

All of the external partners have investors who would really prefer them to be making money, as would Comcast stockholders.

As @GD1 noted, Now TV was never going to be there: Now is a Sky Group (Comcast Corporation) company serving a different market.
