Misinformation of contract cost

I changed over to sky glass in January on a 24mth contact, with a further 24 months for the TV, sounds good so far. Ideally wanted to cancel due to financial embarrassment but the deal was confirmed over 24ths with no change so I took the offer. My Bill came in this month with additional charge 28.00. I made call and was promiswd refund as could see notes confirming the above and now I receive a text with a new price, slightly lower but still not what I was promised. Anyone else had positive experience going through ombudsman etc

This could be  to do with the April  price increases

Sky do precious few fixed price contracts.  Do you have any sale documentation absolutely confirming it was fixed?  (Sky's model is to have fixed discounts for the contracted period but list prices can, and do, change)

Re: Misinformation of contract cost

Sadly not, they confirmed they're now charging 28.00 for a service they initially included in the 24months deal, but thank you so much for reaching out

...then like the majority of customers your contract is not fixed and you get increases every April.

Re: Misinformation of contract cost

I had a lovely conversation with their assistant who confirmed as per notes on my account, that it was agreed. She agreed 28.00 would be refunded immediately and my account would be corrected today.

Re: Misinformation of contract cost

Im all in agreement with April.% increases, no problem with that at all.

It's the initial contract and services agreed and then promise of correction I'd like to challenge.

Im just reaching out to see if contacting ombudsman etc has been successful for anyone 🤔 🥰

Hi @Lou-wee-ze   Before the ombudsman will talk to you, you need to raise a formal Complaint with Sky and then give them 8 weeks to investigate your Complaint or issue you with a deadlock letter.
