Linking sky id

I completed an order online, which failed to be despatched etc. I phoned up several times during a 3 week waiting period. The last time of phoning up they cancelled my order and I reordered the same package over the phone. However I cannot link my new sky id to my existing sky account. Is there any way of doing something before I spend more of my time on the phone 🙈

What is happening when you try to link your account to your ID ?
