Keeping overcharging
I been VIP customer more then 7 years, after realising from people I know, sky customers, that i pay almost double amount from usual which is tousends in 7 years i l call customer service and made a deal to reduce my monthly payment from 60e to 36e which was good enough for me.
After a month Sky charged me 36e for broadband plus 20e for television without my consent or signing anything about this option. I call again and operator told me was mistake. [removed] 20e monthly after that call, in total 4 months from my account [removed] i decided to switch operator. Then they sent me email that will take from my bank account 200e for leaving them.[removed]. Anyway , after paying few tousends in 7 years more then I suppose to Sky im forced to fight through Comreg , social media and any way I can to save my 200e.

Re: Keeping overcharging
It is difficult to figure what is going in from your post but if a mistake has been made then that doesn't give you the right to leave as you will be in a contract hence them saying they will charge you the 200 euro.

@VIPmemeber
If you try to cancel whilst still in a minimum term deal you almost certainly have to pay an early termination charge (Sky will notify you if you do and how much they’ll charge). They seem to have done that.

Re: Keeping overcharging
They can't charge any added option like they did 20e plus for tv without my consent , 80e in total, and more operator admit was mistake but they continuing to charge me 3 months mote until i switch to another provider.and according by European regulation no one can be forced to use certain provider 93/13/EEC

Re: Keeping overcharging
Hi @VIPmemeber The starting point is to make a Complaint before you can escalate it to Comreg. Have you read the terms and conditions, so you can quote the references to support your case.

That doesn't remove the ability of any company to enforce a minimum contract term which is written into a contract.

Re: Keeping overcharging
Actually no company is allowed by European regulation to enforce minimum time, except if Ireland is not part of European Union.. which by my knowledge still is

Re: Keeping overcharging
That's already been covered in another reply. You agreed to the T's and C's on the contract.

Re: Keeping overcharging
I clearly understand that i signed some contract but under any circumstances no one can charge for something without my consent and keep doing it 4 months, 3 months after my complaint and their admitting of mistake. 80e in total so only way to stop stilling my money was to switch to another operator. This the way Sky treat me, VIP golden customer and paying broadband subscription double then normal ...etc etc. Will see what ConReg have to say in following days

Signing a contract is consent: that's kind of the point of the paperwork.
Personally I'd suggest separating out the two issues and seeking redress individually.
