Increase in fixed contract

My bills are fixed until March 2028 but i have received an email informing me of an increase in my broadband and tv package.  How can this be when I have a contract stating fixed price

Your discounts may be fixed however the base price is not.

@Bigdaddy63

Are you sure? Sky don't usually do fixed price subscriptions. Perhaps the April annual price increase was deferred for a few months.

@Bigdaddy63 It's your discounts that are fixed, you will still be subject to the annual price increases on list price

As stated, is is the discount that is fixed, so if you have 20% off then this will remain but the price before this is subject to the usual annual price increase.

If you started a new contract in March, as Sky don't increase the price of your package in the first 60 days after your new contract start. The annual.price increase that is normally in April for you has probably  been delayed till now. As stated in previous post it's only the discounts  that remain the same for full 24 month period of your minimum term Sky will increase the list price of each of products every year and that increase will passed on to you. If you have Sky Q as well as broadband the email should have told you of your right to cancel without a termination fee, if you are unhappy with increase as it did apply  to customers  that had there increases  in April. If you have Sky steam this cancellation clause will only apply to your broadband not you tv package.
