Incorrect Direct Debit Taken Today – Urgent Correction Required

Hello, I need urgent help with an incorrect Direct Debit taken today.
My agreed Sky TV price is £79–£80, but £108 was taken today without notice.
This incorrect amount caused other payments (including HMRC) to fail and pushed my account into overdraft.
I need the correct price reinstated (£79–£80), a refund of the overcharge, compensation for overdraft and failed‑payment charges, and written confirmation of the correction.
Please resolve this today as it has caused financial harm

@M+GEORGIOU  If this is a new account the 1st couple of bills willbe higher,  you were notified of the direct debit amount 14 days before it was taken when your bill was produced, it is up to you to check all future bills for any charges.

Please see th eguidance here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/been-overcharged

Nothing will be refunded to you if the charges are correct.

You should also be aware you're not contacting Sky customer services by posting here so anything you requested cannot happen.

I suspect the bill covers a period more than 1 month.

What does your bill show?  What do future bills show?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Check your bill to why the increase has happened, you can do that in "bills and payments" in the my Sky app or by logging on to your account on the Sky.com. web site. The usual reason for a bill increases like this is that your minimum term has come to a end along  with any discounts you had. Sky don't tell you when this has happened you contract get change rolling monthly and the full list price without any discounts are applied to packages products at the next bill . As I said check you current bill to see what has changed and looking at you previously bill you can what discounts  you did have with the end date of them. If you still have any quiry about your bill or want to negotiate a new minimum term and discounts you need to contact Sky.
