I received a call from Sky, 0800 761 3372, advising that I could receive assistance regarding lowering monthly bills. I said OK yes. The caller did not reply. I said it that it? The caller hung up.
I don't understand why Sky made this call, but assume it is to try to increase monthly bills, rather than decrease?
If it was a genuine call to assist financially then please feel free to reduce my monthly bills.
Thank you.

You’re not talking to Sky Customer Services on here as this is a customer based forum where customers try to help other customers. That is a genuine Sky number.
edit: beaten to it whilst looking for the link.

Thanks Mark and Daniel, I never recognised the number but I know it was genuine now. After the call I looked it up.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAre you out of contract? If not then the call may not be genuine & the Sky number spoofed. I doubt Sky would call offering to lower your bills if you're still in contract.

You were right to be suspicious as I received a scam call from this number as well!
What is more they even called on Easter Monday!

This was almost certainly a scam call so do not accept calls from this number, or accept it and give them some choice words!
The call was from an Indian who could barely speak English and what is more they called on Easter Monday!

To be fair, it's not a Bank Holiday in Bangalore...

Sky staff do work on weekends, Bank Holidays etc. I've also had phone calls a few times over the last year with offers (that I've turned down). These weren't scam calls, you wouldn't need to give these callers your bank details or make payments over the phone anyway as you already have accounts and packages.

@Gurkha12 just so you areaware the call that @Rob571 received was a genuine call from Sky as the op clearly stated afterwards as they checked as did a few other posters.
If you have had a call either create your own post or if you think it was a scam call report it to sky giving themthe number but the number quoted in the first post is a genuine sky number

I also received a phonecall from this number today - it was an indian call centre, when i answered the phone the woman was mid conversation not speaking in English. I said hello several times and she ended the call. Either a scam or Sky need to check who is calling people on their behalf.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSee the previous replies. The number is a genuine Sky number, and it's entirely possible that the caller would genuinely be from an Indian call centre.
As with any calling number, there's a possibility that it might have been spoofed.
