I am really not happy with the service wish I had not left Virgin. Only had Sky since Tuesday and can't get help. Took ages to find a phone number but can t call as landline was not connected by engineer and no mobile signal on sky mobile. Can't find live chat. So disappointing I think I am going cancel customer service is awful from day one.

I'm assuming your Sky broadband service is working ok as you've been able to post here. That being the case, you have have a landline connection, but your phone needs to be plugged into your broadband Hub. It won't work from the wall socket.
