How to get a new box??
Been a customer for c20 years with the same sky box, paying 100 a month / box needs rebooting every day, the viewing card is burnt, sky refusing to give me a new box?? Do they really not care about customer retention?

Presumably you currently have Sky+ / Sky+HD? That is a legacy product no longer supported by Sky. You need to contact Sky and request an upgrade to Sky Q or a change to Sky Glass or Stream.

Re: How to get a new box??
@Di50 if you have a sky plus box then as sky plus is now a legacy system sky no longer supplies replacement boxes and the only way to continue to receive sky tv services would be to upgrade to one of sky's current platforms Sky Q , glass or stream
if you have a different platform and not Sky plus please post back and let us know

Re: How to get a new box??
Do they want me as a customer or not? Seems they are happy to lose 100 a month recurring revenue for 20 years (c £ 24,000!!) because they don't want to give me a new made in china cheap electronic box for free? And I've been on the msg app for 5 hours today lol. Redirecting me to someone else then magically disappearing. Actually quite funny how poor it is!

If you have a Sky+ box (as we suspect) these haven't been made for many years. Sky won't have any to give you and the viewing card you have now wouldn't work in it anyway.

As we've already said, to continue with a Sky TV subscription you will need either Sky Q (through the satellite dish but would need the LNB changing on it), or Sky Glass or Stream (Glass without the TV). Sky/Comcast want customers off Sky+ asap.

Re: How to get a new box??
Hi Daniel0201,
i appreciate that you spend a lot of time on here and i'm sure some people are helped. My message was clearly asking whether sky have any loyalty to existing customers and if they want to retain them on new platforms then maybe they should make it possible to actually make changes on their accounts rather than deliberatley cutting them off when they are trying to be contacted.
so thanks for the reply but not actually useful.

You'll only get opinions on here I'm afraid. Unless your question is rhetorical?
