How to close old account to open a new one?

Hi, I left Sky when I moved a couple of weeks ago as I wasnt sure about the viability of Sky services in a fairly remote area. Long story short, we can access then here and so have ordered stream and taken out a new contract. I am now considered a new customer and have been given a new account. However, I can't set up a new Sky Go account as it recognises my email address and won't let me create a new one. I therefore can't access any of my new account details and can't find any way to delete the old one. How do I get a new account with my new details?! Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@Clairemczed65  It sounds like you have used the same email address has been used to sign up again?

You wouldn't be considered a new customer unless you've been away from Sky for at least 12 months but as you have moved and didn't complete a home your previous account will be closed.

If you want to use the same email address then you need to remove it from the old account first as this will then free it up allowing it to be used when setting your new ID up. You can do this by logging into the old account here:

https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details

Then delete the email address by providing another one and logout of this account, this will then free it up to use when setting up your new Sky ID:

Are you using the same email address to setup your stream account as previously used?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
