How can I renew my contract...

...without having to speak to an Indian call centre?

My contract expired a couple of months ago.  I just want to agree to a two year contract with exactly what I've got without being sold something I don't want.  I have had a couple of emails off Sky to save about £25pm, but the links in them must have expired.

The agent on the phone just wouldn't take no for an answer when I told them I don't want Glass or Stream or whatever.  They just couldn't understand I wanted like for like.

Why doesn't Sky let customers renew online?  Or how do I contact Sky by email without having to ring them up?

@Greg1234567  The contact options below should help

Select ‘Need more help’ at the bottom of the following link which will lead to contact details.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv#contact-leave
(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).
UK customer ~ The link may include an email link and also a Message Us option (which is normally available between 9am and 7.30pm).
ROI customer ~ it’s only by calling Sky Ireland or writing in.

Sky don't use email for general communication or for renewal as it's very difficult to negotiate via email.

I'm afraid calls go to the next available agent wherever they are based. The best new discounts are normally acquired by calling Sky and negotiating or potentially amending your package which will now require a 24 month minimum term contract. Sky are not obliged to offer you another discount, and recent posts on here indicate that significant discounts are now harder to come by. If you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer may no longer be available when you call back.

Re: How can I renew my contract...

I'm just after trying to renew my contract.  I'm not after a significant discount; but agreeing to a two-year term should yield some sort of discount.  That is all I'm after.

How do I make a complaint to Sky without having to speak to someone?

You may also find that they are more tempted to offer better discounts if moving to Sky Stream/Glass as an incentive to get customers to switch over.

Re: How can I renew my contract...

  • Does anyone have a telephone number to discuss Broadband contract renewal? I was sent an email with a much lower price than I am paying for broadband at present but when I try to click the link nothing happens. The chat bot is also useless

To call Sky dial 150 (free) from either your Sky Talk landline or a Sky mobile. Alternatively use this link…
https://www.sky.com/help/home
UK customers: Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ leading to a number starting 0333.
ROI customers: change the flag in the bottom right corner of the link to the ROI flag then scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ to see a dedicated ROI number. (Customer Services in the ROI are not open at weekends).

The forum filters don’t allow the posting of full phone numbers on here.

Calls to Sky will initially be automated which may try to send you here to the forum, offer you online help or offer to send you a text. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.
